Worship

What does Worship mean to us at Christ Church?

Worship is a creative, reflective and spiritual experience, planned around the school’s Christian vision of ‘Learning to live together, together living to learn’.  ‘Learn from Me’ (Matthew 11:29).

Worship Leaders

All pupils, especially Class worship Leaders, grow as leaders in planning and delivering imaginative worship in the school hall, in classrooms and in church. Worship impacts deeply on the lives of our school community - positively transforming pupils' attitudes to learning and relationships here at school and at home.

You are all welcome to join our worship any morning at 9:30am and enjoy our singing!

Our Developing Outdoor Reflection Area

What do you do with a rough, shady area of the nature trail? The school has a roughly triangular piece of land on a slope at the top of the Nature Trail that is overshadowed by a large tree and not really usable at the moment.

A group of Year 6 have taken on the challenge to create a reflection area where children and adults can go for quiet and reflection. The Class Worship Leaders have many ideas: the reflection area needs to include a bench for sitting; a pray corner and sweet smelling plants such as rosemary, as well as quiet activities in a storage box or bench.

The local garden centre gave advice about plants that grow well in a shady environment, such as ferns, and currently several excited groups from across school are involved in the design and implementation of the project. We will keep you updated!
