Computing
Our long term Computing plan and grid breaks down when we teach digital literacy throughout the year for each year group and that digital literacy will include the teaching of the mechanics (the knowledge needed) and the searching and selecting of information (effectively using and testing the reliability of links) that is associated with digital literacy.
We know that digital literacy is becoming an increasing part of modern day life and the ability to appropriately and safely use technology is something that we focus on and ensure our children have. We use e-safety alongside the teaching of computer science, information technology and digital literacy to ensure that children receive a broad and balanced computing education that is appropriate for their age group.
This links well to our approach to children becoming Global Citizens. Our computing curriculum enables children to have an understanding of their place in the world and a great understanding of the world that they live in without limiting themselves.
