An EXCELLENT Church School in all areas. OUTSTANDING Early Years provision.
Learning to live together, together living to learn. “Learn from Me.” (Matthew 11:29)
For every child to reach their God-given potential in a positive, caring and aspirational environment.
Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Welcome to our brand new school website! We have created the website to keep parents up to date with school news and notices, and to showcase some of the great things our pupils are achieving. The website is extremely easy to edit by all staff at the school, so check back soon for new updates!
As many of you know unfortunately we were unable to have our Christmas Enterprise this year. But Year 5 did not let this stop them! In true tradition we stuck with the idea of wooden Christmas Crafts and the children voted we made Snowmen. Whilst Miss Joslin got to work sourcing the wood, the children began brainstorming and creating their designs in order to know what materials we would need. The products turned out brilliantly and the children loved making them! We had lots of people buy them which meant we raised an amazing… £71. Which is amazing especially in such difficult times! A huge thank you to all you parents who made this possible and continued to support us.
Lewis in Year 6, has earned his ‘Community’ star on the Year 6 wall of fame by single-handedly collected over 70 tins of food amongst other things that were donated to a local charity ‘The Pantry’ who support people in food poverty. His stash was collected by them over Christmas.
Here are some photos of Year 5 Santa Dash around the playground. Everyone looked superb and stayed motivated throughout. Well done Ruby class and thank you to the families for your continued support.
HASTINGS SIERRA LEONE FRIENDSHIP LINK.
As many of you know, earlier this year I travelled to Sierra Leone as part of our ‘Hastings Sierra Leone Friendship Link’ we have here at Christ Church. Like many things, fundraising has been hit and come to a standstill this year due to Covid. Therefore, the link has put together an online auction to try to raise some much needed funds. All schools locally have donated prizes to the auction to support and hopefully raise money for our friends. The Link has two big projects underway: to provide isolation and triage units for the Health Centre, and to improve the water supply (and eventually the sanitation) in all the schools. So every penny this auction raises will bring us a step closer to achieving our goals. Below is the link to the auction for anyone who is interested or after some Christmas presents.
Happy bidding and thank you for your continued support with our global learning and friendship link.
So many children are working so hard and achieving awards for their work.
